Development of receipt design

Digital development

I wanted to push my receipt idea further through playing around with digital designs and forming a stronger type; I felt like the photographed versions looked too messy for the actual cover, as they had to be scribbled over an existing receipt.

I wanted to include the traditional aspects of a receipt through using a receipt font and adding the star borders alongside the text; this allowed the design to have more of a genuine feel and more of a spoof atmosphere.

I decided to have the title as the largest part of the design, in order to build visual hierarchy; I also thought it would be quite interesting to have the title lower down as it guides the reader and challenges them to look closer to the design.

I think I could push this design further by printing this design out crumpling up the paper and photocopying it; this could help me create a more 3D design and play with textures more. Also, I was thinking that I could layer and staple multiple receipts up to add more depth to the design.
