Oripeau initial notes

What is Oripeau?

Oripeau is a project where a free surface measuring 16200 cm squared is installed in public places. The idea is to fill this space with visuals updated weekly; the concept is not to serve as an art gallery, but a platform for artists to 'put graphic diversity back on the street'

Lucas Jacques-Witz

'A day in the mountains' explores techniques of filling the space with collage materials and images. I think the rough/ripped effect works nicely as a way to create boundaries with different images.

I really like the use of abstracted shapes in this poster, as the gradient effect provides a nice blurred effect. This approach could work with the idea of abstracting the poster from the literal object; I could take shapes inspired by it?

Ted Guerrero

This poster has a strong image approach to design, and I think in many ways images can speak for themselves. In a sense, it would be interesting to use this very simple method to communicating my object.
