Layout considerations

 Layout considerations

How can I censor things through layout?

Exploring themes of censorship online, photographer Giorgio Di Noto created the publication 'The Iceberg', bringing together stock images and original photographs from the dark web; the original images are printed in invisible ink, and can only be viewed with UV light, which also conceptually links to the images of drugs found on the dark web, as UV light is used by drug enforcers. The aim of the publication was to create an archive for things that only exist for a short amount of time on the dark web; the juxtaposition between the stock image and original photos communicate visual metaphors.

This approach to censorship could be interesting, as I could keep all explicit content in invisible ink, and print some super cropped images that hint at the hidden content?
