Chrometype
Chrometype is a recent trend in contemporary typography that inspired me visually regarding the striking link to my word 'reflection'. I definitely want to feature this within the textures and surface of my own design, as it plays into the physical element. Additionally, I think that creating a reflective/shiny surface will make my type specimen become more interactive, as the audience can see themselves in the shapes of my type. A good source of inspiration of this is the artist Jonathan Castro and all of the chrometype work featured on the instagram page (dedicated to it) @chrometype.
Boogypaper
Boogypaper (Julien Priez) is typographer that features a lot of this almost liquidated type on his instagram, which links to how I want to create a distorted effect to my type design. I also like how this design is fragmented/split into two, almost like the nature of reflection etc.
Moonsickgang
'Belly Gothic' is a typeface design by Moonsickgang that features cut out segments; I want to take inspiration from this concept to cut out parts of my typeface and reflect them on the outer side to provide the impression of segments being reflected on my type.
