Using the British Archives (again)

Concept - lyric translation

I feel like I need some more focused concepts to explore in my designs to refine the visuals and their meaning further. I decided to focus on:

  • Molchat Doma - translates to 'houses are silent'. The previous covers explore this with the whitewash texture and the concept of censorship
  • Song by Molchat Doma called Tancevat, meaning 'To Dance'. The music video also features a narrative of a vampire. I thought it could be cool to look into vampire visuals to reference the video?
  • Bueraks name translates to 'Good Times'; visuals could explore parties/ happy imagery to juxtapose Molchat Domas more gothic imagery?
  • Song by Buerak called 'dances of convinience'; look into imagery of dancing? Would convey this idea of happiness

British Archives illustrations

Relates to the literal A and B side of the album design?

Dancing

Could dancing be a theme to link the two sides? But convey them differently visuals to contrast the two bands.

Vampires

I feel like these illustrations could add a more playful element to the design, and would e perfect to use as stickers possibly?
