I found this abandoned building nearby and decided it was visually fitting to to idea of 'houses are silent' in Molchat Doma's translation. Here are a couple of photos from the shoot; the building was full of really nice textures that linked to the idea of decay and melancholy imagery. A lot of these photos would work great playing with super cropping. 

Initial edits

I decided to play with vibrant and juxtaposing colours, as well as considering the idea of a plastic overlay; the concept intended to involve abstract shapes that introduced some negative space to frame the image and hide parts. To some extent, this outcome works nicely in communicating the idea of censorship in the soviet union that was a prominent social and political issue within the beginnings of punk and post punk in russia.
