Aga Geicko - zine design

Aga Geicko

Aga Geicko is an illustrator that focuses on a cartoon style within zine design, which can be linked to the design processes in Garfield Minus Garfield; I looked at some of her work to inform my posterzine design, as she often uses this format in her designs.

I really like the sketchy style of her work, as it adds a genuine and authentic feel through embracing mistakes. This piece also uses an A5 format which I think I want to focus on for the Garfield Minus Garfield zine outcome.

I definitely want to take inspiration from this posterzine design in particular, as it uses quite a nice quality paper stock and focuses on using two colours solely which contrast one another.

I feel like Geicko's work resonates with what I want to achieve in my own publication, as her style fits with the contemporary demographic of young adults/ the art scene; for example, her work is sold in places such as Village Books.
