Improving the emotion sticker designs
Since the peer feedback on the sticker designs was positive and they worked with the publication, I now needed to design more in order to see how they would fit with each letter. The aim of this concept is to communicate each letterform and their corresponding emotions; I thought it would be visually interesting to zoom in on elements of the letters in order to create some nice patterns and shapes. As well as this, each sticker has a different colour based on their emotion, which ties the stickers into our visual branding with colour.
I created the first half of the alphabet initially, so I could then get peer feedback on the sticker concept. The general feedback is that they work really well in the context of MoodGlyphs' visual language, as well as relating to the themes of emotion. The element that could be improved however, is that I could try having alternating stickers from black to white backgrounds; this would make the stickers less repetitive and relate better to our visual branding of black and white.
